IT'S CHRISTMAS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember last year I had a lot of fun in the month of December. My cousins invited me to go skiing and snowboarding for the FIRST time! My cousins already tried it one time but I didn't. I decided to go with them and the first thing I had to do was choose if I wanted to ski or snowboard. Where we went there was a place where you can rent a pair of skis or a snowboard. What did I choose? I chose to ski. Two of my cousins picked snowboards and my other cousin had chose to ski just like me. My cousins and I started off small but they mostly did it for me since I didn't know how. I got the hang of it really quickly and I went to higher and higher hills. One of my cousins had a snowboard and dropped it in a small river by the place where we were snowboarding and skiing. He had to rent one again but this time he chose skis because they were easier to use even though he was good at using the snowboard. On one of the higher hills I was skiing fast like I've been doing but all of a sudden I put one ski on top of the other and I fell down the hill and stopped in the middle of it. People were skiing around me and that made me hurry because I don't know when someone who doesn't know how to ski or snowboard might come right at me to make my fall even worse. When I stopped falling down the hill I was sort of scared to open my eyes because I kept thinking I broke my leg or twisted my ankle or something. It was really cold so I couldn't feel my hands, arms, feet, or legs. I had to open my eyes at one point and I found out that I was okay, but I still had to get up which wasn't easy. If I stood up I would fall again so I had to take off my skis and walk all the way down the hill. That didn't make my day but the rest did. Then one of my cousins and I took the risk on going on a big steep hill. We were able to SURVIVE and go down the hill safely, but I didn't want to go on it again because those benches that you sit on went up higher than usual and they were wide so that 5 people fit in there. One slight movement made the bench rock back and forth. It didn't have seat belts or anything to hold you onto it so if you're about to fall you could be at risk at making that come true. I kind of wanted to go again but none of my cousins wanted to so I didn't. Before the day was over we ate and went home. I had a lot of fun than you think. We actually might do this again this year! I'll just have to wait and see!MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

ORAGAMI !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey everyone!!!! Today I'm going to write about oragami. There is a Japenese legend which promises you that if anyone who folds a thousand cranes would be granted a wish by a crane. The wish can be a long life or a recovery from an illness. The crane is a mystical or holy creature including the dragon and the tortoise for Japan. People would really follow this legend of making a thousand cranes in order to make a wish. Making a thousand cranes is also cultural. The father would give a thousand cranes as a wedding gift which would be wishing a thousand years of happiness and prosperity for the couple. There's a pretty big story behind the oragami crane, this is just part of it. If you'd like to make a crane or even a thousand here's how:
